The Best Idea is to Let You Shine All the Way Through

Hey Loves! Happy August. 🌞 If you’re anything like me, you might be someone who gets turned on by allllllll of the fun ideas that come to you on any given day. You might even decide to frantically follow a couple of them, like a cat follows a laser dot. You might chase after one of those ideas until you collapse in a heap, tail twitching, unable to quite catch the dang dot. You might gather 2 or 3 of the biggest, shiniest, brightest ideas and set them up on a shelf or wall in front of you, always within…

    I’ve Been Thinking

Dear Universe: I’ve been #Thinking about more ways to share my Love with you. With your people. With your creatures. Through individual efforts and as part of the collective, sharing from my creative gifts that you’ve blessed me with and amplifying the good work of others who are moving in the same direction, with good intention, to foster healing for myself and for us all. 💖 I am not entirely sure what it will look like, but I know it is something powerful and needed. A community of healers, healing their own pain and sharing their gifts with a waiting…

    The Burden of Father’s Day

It’s Father’s Day here in the US, and along with days like this that celebrate a parent can often come mixed emotions and some weird feelings. Especially if your father has passed on. Especially if you never knew your father. Especially if your relationship with the man was/is strained, challenging, complicated. Even if your relationship is/was awesome. If you had/have a less than perfect relationship with your father, you might be tempted to brush this off as any other day. If you are missing your father due to death or disease or physical distance, you might be tempted to stuff…

    MAGIC MIRROR

MAGIC MIRROR: What is one positive thing about yourself that you know to be absolutely True? One thing I’ve learned is that when we are struggling (also known as growing) we tend to tell ourselves all kinds of stories about ourselves that actually have little to do with the Truth (“I’m not ____ enough” “Nobody really cares about me” “I never win” “Nothing good ever happens for me” etc)… That negative reinforcement doesn’t move us forward though. It just makes it easier for us to quit progressing and stay stuck in old, unhelpful patterns. We have the power to shift…

When “Love & Light” Is Not Enough: What I Learn From Times of Conflict

It’s been a really weird week. The theme I see recurring in my life over the past week or so is one of being in direct conflict with others. Not everyone, but certainly a very vocal few. These button-pushing battles have brought up some unpleasant emotions in me, including annoyance, frustration, and disgust. Anger and Indignation came along for the ride. A profound sense of sadness has shown up, but also a crystal clear resolve to press on has made her steel-hard, calming presence known. Oh, and then there’s the goddesses (more on them later). I haven’t felt this way…

    Inspiration: Doing Hard Things

#MondayMantra I can do hard things. Sometimes, usually when I am trying something new or stretching myself in some kind of way- I forget just how many hard things I’ve already done and that I am on the other side of now. It’s a powerful thing to be able to pause and briefly look back at just how very fucking far you’ve come. Summon up your inner badass, the one inside you who helped you push through and grow past those old obstacles. Remind yourself: Yes, Love, YOU CAN DO HARD THINGS. Once you’ve taken that in, breathe deep and…

    Inspiration: 3rd Time’s a Charm

OMG, it’s still there! And it’s really beautiful. And it’s totally distracting, lol! I must look down at my ring 1000x a day. I love it though and Here’s the thing: SHOCKER- I’ve been engaged twice before. Never married, just engaged to be. The first engagement was to my baby daddy and it was a million years ago and it was horrible. Grateful that we did not marry is such an understatement; grateful to have left that relationship with my life. The second one was a considerably better relationship, but not without serious flaws and a cracked foundation as well.…

The Self-Care Sessions: Part 5- DEAR FEAR

Next in my series of gentle meditations, I talk with Fear. “Dear Fear, Thank You for always trying to protect me. Please forgive me for giving you too much power. I have heard you, and now you may go. I will call you back when I need you. I love you.” Fear has an important place in our lives, but that place does not include having total control over us. Fear deserves a seat at the table. Fear is allowed to come along with you on your journey- it’s coming anyway so welcome it in a healthy way! Fear, given…

The Self-Care Sessions: Part 4- DEAR HEART

Next up in my series of gentle meditations for/prayers to my Body, I spent some time soothing the wounds of my heart. “Dear Heart, Thank You for being soft and open, again and again. Please forgive me for trusting you to people who weren’t ready for you. Let’s find another soul to Love. I love you.” I keep doing my work to heal the wounds inside, and remove the blocks as they surface, because the reason I am on this planet is to be a living expression of Love and experience that Love in all its fullness. Five years ago,…
